Why did you choose Annapolis?

We chose Annapolis because of the beautiful backdrop of the waterfront. Boating and being on the water has always been a huge part of our relationship, so we wanted to incorporate that somehow.

 Why did you choose Annapolis?

We both grew up here and decided to start our family here. We love being near the water and couldn't think of another way we would rather be married than on the water. So we literally got married "on the water" aboard the Schooner Woodwind while at sail on the Severn River.

Why did you choose Annapolis?

Both of us having grown up doing a lot of boating in Southern Maryland, and still maintaining that love for the water, we knew we wanted to do something that incorporated that. We initially looked at beaches as possible venues, and even some of wedding/banquets halls on the water, but nothing felt quite "us" - until we found Watermark and the Catherine Marie - a large yacht you can hold a ceremony and reception on. The boats can leave out of Annapolis or the Baltimore Inner Harbor, and with us having a lot of family in Anne Arundel and Calvert, and having lived close to or in Annapolis for the past 3 years, we knew it was the perfect location.

Why did you choose Annapolis?

I grew up near the Annapolis Area (Kent Island) and my then fiance and I were always at the beach so I wanted to have a comfortable and familiar surrounding to start the next chapter of our lives. Annapolis is beautiful, historic, and has waterfront property. Eric and I went to a wedding at Herrington on the Bay about 3 years ago and we fell in love. We made our first wedding plans that night at the wedding. We agreed that we would marry at Herrington on the Bay. It was important to us that we got married outside and on the water. If you are interested in those same characteristics check out Herrington on the Bay.

Why did you choose Annapolis?

My husband is a United States Naval Academy graduate, and although he left the Navy in 2004, he still has strong ties to the area and to the Academy. We were still able to be married at the USNA Chapel as civilians, so it wasn't even a question that Annapolis was where we wanted our special day to happen.

Why did you choose Annapolis?

I chose Annapolis because as a child I attended an outdoor wedding on the water and was mesmerized with how beautiful it was. Like most young girls, you grow up with an idea of what you want your special day to be like and getting married in Annapolis was mine.

Why did you choose Annapolis?

I grew up in Annapolis and since my husband was making the move from Upstate New York to Annapolis, I wanted to introduce my city to his family. It was the perfect backdrop for our low-key day wedding.
